Leviticus 4 and 5:
Last episode we dived into 3 type of offerings. Today in Leviticus 4, we cover the last two. All the offerings worked together to provide a temporary solution to the separation of God and man. Susan and Heather cover the purification or sin offering and the guilt offering details in week two of ritual law school. I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to like Leviticus law school.

My Bible bender for this week was the visualization that the diagram shows below (see the show note of The Leviticus Separation Solution linked below). It just really made it clear why all the laws and offerings were necessary for the Israelites back then and why we so desperately needed the sacrifice of the cross. How often do you ponder how far we were from God before Jesus? Israel was special and for that reason, they had to the opportunity for God to dwell with them if they followed the law.
