In this passage, Joshua commands Israel a few things. First, fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Second, he commands them to throw away all other gods. The final challenge Joshua gives to Israel is for them to choose who they will serve. He adamantly notes he and his house serve the Lord.
My takeways from this portion of Joshua leadership was the application to our lives today. Susan says, “This challenge was not just for the Israelites. It stands today. How do you respond to Joshua’s challenge? Who have you chosen, and how well are you serving?” This is so convicting when I compare myself to Joshua!
